New Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to kindergarten at Young Elementary! We are excited to partner with you to learn more about your child so we can find the perfect kindergarten placement. We greatly value this screening process and the information we learn about your child. We will have a kindergarten screening on July 18 for those available to attend. We will work with each student for approximately 20 minutes while parents complete a questionnaire. Thank you for helping us start the year off with success.
Students that went to pre-k during the 22-23 school year at Young Elementary will not need to attend. Their assessments were completed in May of 2023.
A letter was sent to all kindergarten families with complete enrollment. If you have any questions, email Mrs. Norwood at cnorwood@sdale.org. We will have an alternate date in August for those that can't attend.
