Har-Ber High School will be hosting its Spring Blood Drive on April 12th. Students may sign up during their lunch in the cafeteria or with Mrs. D. Davis or Mrs. Jordin through the rest of this week. Students 16 years old will need to have parents complete a permission sheet prior to donating.

To finish out the 20-21 Season 8 boys from Har-Ber competed at State this past Saturday. The boys 200 free relay finished in 6th place earning them a spot on the podium, David Wallace, Lucas Schaben and Max Tisher made up that relay. individually Max competed in 2 individual events, the 100 back and 200IM his efforts earned the team 16 points. He was one spot away from earning a medal. Lucas earned 8 points during his 500 free and 200 free races. David individually scored 7 points from his 50 free race. To close out his senior year Homero competed with Max Simmons and Max McDonald on the 4x100 relay barely missing out on a top 10 finish. In conclusion, the boys finished 9th overall in the state.

Tuesday, March 9th, 11th grade students will have the opportunity to take the ACT, Accuplacer, or ASVAB assessment. On the 9th, all 11th grade students, including MWF blended students, will need to report to school for testing. All students should be in their test room by 8:45am. This day will be a remote learning day for 10th and 12th grade students; they will not report to school on Tuesday, March 9th. They can return to campus on Wednesday, March 10th for a normal school day. After testing is complete, students will have the opportunity to check- out for the day. This is not a requirement for students. If you would allow your child to check-out once testing is complete, please complete the permission form using the provided link. Busses will run at their normal times on March 9th if a student is not checking out after testing. They will follow their regular schedule for the remainder of the day. The Swim & Dive Team had the privilege of taking 7 student athletes to State for the girls competition. The relay consisting of Sarah Pope, Emily Reaves, Abigail Livingston and Saylor Wilson finished 6th in the 200 Medley & 5th in the 4x100 Relay scoring 54 points. Sarah Pope had season best times in her lead off leg of the 200 Free relay. Emily Reaves finished 15th in the 2IM. While also swimming a 58.87 time for the lead off spot of the 4x100 relay. Abigail Livingston finished 13th in both of her events, the 50 free & 100 back. Saylor Wilson walked away with an individual medal for her 4th place finish in the 100 breast. Anna Marvin & Natalia Ruiz both swam under 30 seconds during their leg of the 200 free relay. The girls ultimately finished 8th in the State as a team!

Parents and Students, Cheer/Mascot Tryout Information Parent Meeting: We will be having our parent meeting for cheer/mascot tryouts on February 22nd at 6:00 PM, in the Performing Arts Center. If you cannot attend, you need to email jbunting@sdale.org. At least one parent and prospective cheerleader's attendance is mandatory in order to try out.
