Come downtown and have some fun this weekend! #THEChoice

Due to driver shortage, Bus 141 will not run on Friday, October 8th in the morning or afternoon. Please make arrangements to drop off and pick up your students for school. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

We started Fire Prevention Week with a presentation from Tontitown Fire Marshall, Mr. Mark Ramsey. Our students learned about creating a fire safety plan. These plans are due Wednesday. There will be a winner from each grade level. The winners will get a chance to ride in a fire truck on Friday. Let’s make some great plans and stay fire safe!

We desperately need your help! Even though all students are being allowed to eat for free again this year, we still need families to complete the free and reduced meal form.
Here’s why: Our district must have at least 70% of our students qualify for free and reduced meals by October 1, 2021, or we will lose up to $8 million dollars in funding next year. This $8 million dollars are the funds used to provide nurses, social workers, and school resource officers for each school.
Right now, we are only at 66%. Will you please help us by completing the application today?

Each month, the RISE Team produces a newsletter to explore and promote the Science of Reading in Arkansas. Our goal is to provide a resource that is targeted and helpful to parents. We cover topics such as read alouds, Scarborough's Rope, and oral language.

Learning occurs anyplace and anytime! We love our learning spaces!

~Why join the PTA? As a new PTA, we are uniquely tasked with creating the foundation for a collaborative group to benefit our school community for decades to come. Since this is our first year, we are working to establish funds through donations, fundraising events, and the sale of profitable goods. We need your help to brainstorm and provide feedback for proposed activities so that we are successful and having fun throughout the process!
~ Do I have to volunteer, fundraise, and be at the school during the day? The only requirement to being a PTA member is paying your dues and supporting our school however you can.
~ How much time will it take? It takes as much or as little time as you can offer.
~ What does the PTA do? We are a non-profit organization run exclusively by volunteers; all cash and donations go directly towards student engagement such as the Fall Festival, STEAM events, in-class celebrations, and after-school activities. We may also identify specific needs at the school that fall outside of the budget to partner in providing. Come be a part of those decisions!

We are loving learning at Rollins Elementary!

Our PTA and "State of the School Address" will be in our cafeteria at 6:00 PM on Thursday. We will sit socially distanced. We request that everyone wear a mask if attending this meeting on site. If you would like to attend virtually, please follow this link to sign up. We will send a Zoom link to you.

Thank you to the community of Tontitown for welcoming us by raising over 25,000 school supply items! The friendly competition between the city administration, police department, and fire department was so much fun! We are so excited to be part of the Tontitown community!
