Counting down! Only 2 more days til our STEAM Night!!!! Load up the family and be at Turnbow Elementary at 6:00 pm Thursday night!!! Play with robots! Fly drones! See the stars inside a planetarium! Pet a snake and other animals! It’s going to be a night full of science, technology, engineering, art and math! If your child makes it to at least five stations, they can enter their map for a chance to win a huge LEGO set!
You have to mark your calendar and plan to come to our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) NIGHT!!!! There are so many cool things planned! We will have robots, drones, slime making station, a planetarium with a telescope that you can look through to see Saturn and the Moon, animals and many more things!!!! It is going to be AWESOME!!!!!! Thursday, December 5th from 6:00-8:00 pm! You don’t want to miss it!!!!!
Turnbow Elementary will be honoring our Veterans on Monday, November 11th at 2:00 pm. Veterans are invited to attend. Also, if you would like to have a family member recognized in our slideshow, email your picture to sferguson@sdale.org.
Don’t forget to stop by the school office today and pick up your Cherrydale Fundraiser items. The office is open until 4:30 pm.

2nd Grade Parents: Our field trip to Devils Den on Friday has been cancelled due to bad weather.
We want to send a special thank you to all of our families that have participated in our Cherrydale Fundraiser for our school!!! You guys are rockstars!!! If you weren’t able to or forgot to send in your order form today, please make sure to send it in your child’s backpack in the morning or drop it off in the office before 4 pm tomorrow! We still have COWABUNGAS and will award those to kids in the morning if they bring in their coupons.

This is a reminder that Cherrydale Fundraiser packets are due to the office tomorrow! Be sure your child’s name is on your order form. If you are sending in cash or checks with your packet, please make sure the envelope is sealed good. Thank you so much for supporting our sale and helping our school! We appreciate you!
Our 2nd and 3rd graders are loving the Wheel Mobile from the Walton Arts Center! They have been so creative this week!!!
How are you guys doing on the Cherrydale Fundraiser? We still have lots of COWABUNGAS to give away in the office so keep those coupons coming in when you sell 5, 10, 15 or more items!!!! You can even complete your profile online and have family members order online! All packets are due back to the school NEXT TUESDAY, October 8th! Thank you so much for supporting our PTA and all of our amazing students!!!
DONT FORGET!!! School Picture Day is TOMORROW!!!!!! Dress your best and bring your order forms to school in the morning if you plan to purchase a package of pictures!!! See you in the morning!
Reminder: Flu shots will be given next Thursday at Turnbow Elementary. They will only give shots. There is no mist. Make sure you send in the form that was in your child’s backpack last night. Fill out both sides of the blue form.
Reminder: Picture Day is this Thursday!!!! Order forms are in your child’s backpack. These will be the pictures that go in our yearbook.
Flu shots will be given next Thursday Oct. 10th at Turnbow. The forms went home with your child today and must be signed and returned by next Monday. Please check your child’s backpack tonight and get the forms out. Each child only gets one copy.
Our Turnbow PTA Meeting will be tomorrow September 26th at 3:30 p.m. We hope you can join us.
