Our spelling bee was a huge success! Congratulations to 1st place winner Hecknal Jorkan (4th grade) and 2nd place winner Parker Hanseth (4th grade)! Hecknal will represent BYE at our district spelling bee in December. We are so proud of all our spellers today! They have worked so hard and did an amazing job. A big shout out to Wendy Peters for all of her work in organizing our spelling bee!

Color Run Postponed: Due to the current weather forecast and the condition of the track, we will be moving the Color Run to our rainout date of Monday, November 1st. Veteran's Day is coming soon. Our fourth graders are creating a virtual assembly for Veteran's Day this year. We are planning to add a small presentation to it. If there is a veteran in your child's life, please send a picture to younginfo@sdale.org. Include the veteran's name, student's name and student's grade. All photos need to be sent in by Monday, November 8th. If you remember having a slide in last year's presentation and want to use the same one, email me the name and I will look for it. The virtual Veteran's Day assembly will be posted on our social media and in a newsletter.
